Kassandra Le-Huynh is a rising senior at the University of Tulsa, double majoring in French and Economics with minors in Biology and Political Science. She is the cofounder and current Chief of Staff of the Vietnamese American Student Association, Treasurer of TEDxUTulsa, student representative for the College of Arts and Sciences Executive Committee, and a researcher in the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge program. Last year she was inducted into Mortarboard, Phi Beta Kappa, and was recently inducted into Future Alumni Council. She has experience as a research assistant in a reproductive genetics lab and currently does her own research analyzing criminal sentencing disparities at the state and federal level, which resulted in a newfound love of coding in R and Python. She has been interning with the Tulsa County Public Defender for the past two years, where she has had the privilege of learning about the criminal justice system first-hand and aiding defendants along the way. Driven by her experiences at the public defender and her research, she hopes to obtain a dual JD/MPP and dedicate her career to criminal justice reform.
