Miguel Coste is a Neuroscience and Behavior major in the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame. He is on the board of First Gen Careers – part of the Meruelo Family Center for Career Development that provides career advice and resources to the first-generation community on Notre Dame’s campus. Miguel has served as the president of 1stG ND, a club centered around providing resources and community to Notre Dame’s first-generation community. He studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland at Trinity College Dublin. Miguel was involved in a research project that monitored Indiana schools’ response to COVID-19. Last summer, he researched the neural circuitry underlying C. Elegans avoidance behavior of pathogenic bacteria. This summer, Miguel will be interning with the Notre Dame Development Office. Upon graduation, Miguel aspires to work in helping find sustainable solutions to energy by working in the climate technology or infrastructure space. In his free time, Miguel enjoys strength training, cooking, traveling, and photography. He calls Tampa, Florida, and Notre Dame, Indiana home.
