Sondos Moursy is a junior at the University of Houston, majoring in Psychology. After three years of researching mass incarceration, Sondos initiated a weekly arts program at Angela House, a local re-entry home, to create an emotional support system for women in re-entry. Last summer, she worked for the Houston Mayor's Office of Complete Communities (MOCC), where she developed a workforce initiative focused on providing legal income revenues for offenders. Pending graduation, Sondos plans to get a JD in civil rights law, serve as a public defender for five years, and run for Harris County District Attorney. She enjoys running Cross-country and Track for the University of Houston in her free time. Sondos calls Alexandria, Egypt home.
