Audra Nikolajski is a rising senior at the University of South Florida majoring in English and Political Science and minoring in Education. As a result of her passion for storytelling, Audra is the Editor in Chief of USF's literary magazine, Thread. She is a Peer Mentor Lead, the President of the Student Council of the Judy Genshaft Honors College (JGHC), a TA for a course on Narrative Medicine, and an English tutor. Dedicated to quality and equality of education for students everywhere, Audra was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman scholarship which she used to study abroad in London, and the designation of UN Millennium Fellow, which allowed her to study the qualitative impacts of a course taught in a community garden. She has served as an intern for the Hillsborough County School Board as well as the Associate Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at the JGHC. Audra has created numerous curriculums, and in the fall, she will be teaching one of them aimed at making storytelling accessible and enjoyable to college students. In the near future, she hopes to pursue a dual MPP/PhD in educational policy and curriculum development and work in an education-centered nonprofit.
