Briana Azad is a rising senior at the University of Houston, pursuing a dual degree in Psychology and Spanish, with minors in Biology and Medicine and Society. Briana is an active member of the UH Honors College, where she was awarded the Outstanding First Year Student award. She is also a part of the Bonner Leaders Program and is the Lead Executive for the SMART (Science Mentoring for Achieving a Richer Tomorrow) program where she mentors underprivileged children in Houston's Historic Third Ward in science and math. Briana's passion for learning languages led her to studying Spanish in Cadíz, Spain on a study abroad. Driven by her passion for serving underprivileged communities, Briana aspires to bridge gaps in language and education through medicine and research. After graduation, she intends to earn a Medical Degree and pursue a career as a physician and public servant. Briana is originally from Pearland, Texas.
