Isabella Rocha

Isabella is a rising senior at the University of Rochester, majoring in Political Science and Economics. She is originally from Somerset, Massachusetts. Isabella is the president of the University of Rochester Model United Nations, where she received an Honorable Mention award. She has also served as a captain of the Mock Trial team, earning an Outstanding Attorney award. Isabella has served as a Political Science research assistant since her sophomore year. Her academic interests explore the effects of polarization on voter mobilization and policies focused on women's issues. This past summer, Isabella served as a District Intern for Congressman Jake Auchincloss in the House of Representatives. After college, she plans on attending graduate school to obtain a JD before becoming a constitutional lawyer, or an advanced degree in Public Policy with the goal of writing legislation at the state or federal level. In her free time, Isabella enjoys running, listening to Taylor Swift, reading with her cat, and discussing political issues.
