Kristina Richardson, the John L. Nau III Professor of the History and Principles of Democracy and Professor of History and Middle Eastern & South Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Virginia, will visit Bowdoin College on November 20-21, 2024. Professor Richardson's lecture, "A History of Slavery and Racial Capitalism in the Islamic Indian Ocean", will be held on Wednesday, November 20 at 4:30pm ET in the Visual Arts Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.
