Russell Muirhead is professor of Government at Dartmouth College, and a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
With Nancy Rosenblum, Professor Muirhead is the author of A Lot of People Are Saying: The New Conspiracism and the Assault on Democracy, which examines the rise of conspiratorial thinking in American politics. He is currently working on a new book, again with Rosenblum, entitled “Ungoverning” – about the current tendency to break down the capacity of government rather than to build it up. In previous books, Muirhead has also written on parties, partisanship and polarization, as well as the moral meaning of the work ethic. He lives in Hanover, NH with his family, and his hobbies include hiking, mountain biking, dog walking, and car repair.
