Aradhna Tripati
Aradhna Tripati is Professor of Environment and Sustainability and Director of the Center for Diverse Leadership in Science at UCLA.
Professor Tripali is an Indo-Fijian-American geoscience professor and organizer. She love science and especially clumped isotopes and climate science. She is passionate about people, STEAM, justice, the oceans, and the environment, and founded the Center for Diverse Leadership in Science. Supporting more than 300 fellows across the educational spectrum, from K to grey, the center aims to be reparative and brings together a series of unique interventions to focus on community-building and human-centered, relational STEAM practice. Aradhna collaborates with a number of artists on projects that include: the Broad Museum on Yayoi Kusama - Mirrored Room - The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away and Joseph Beuys - In Defense of Nature and the associated reforestation initiative, Social Forest: Oaks of Tovaanga, Kendall Moore – Allyship and Decolonizing STEM, Bryce Cracknell – Storytelling as Medicineand Veterans in STEM, and Jimmy Kimmel Live for two sketches on climate change. She also created an oceanography film festival with student shorts and a youtube channel.
